Ink bleed text effect generator
Real type. Real bleed. Type the line, pull it out of shape, let the ink eat the edges, then take the file.
Three moves.
Type the line. Break the edges. Take the file. Every change renders on the spot, so you can push a word until it gives.

What the lab does
Six controls do the work. Everything updates on the canvas as you drag it.
Ink bleed renderer
Blur, threshold, turbulence. The letterform decides where the ink stops, not a texture stamp.

Texture layers
Stack ink density, paper fibre and grain. Every layer has its own strength and its own order.

Stretch and warp
Pull X and Y apart until a word breaks, then pull it back. Blur and displacement follow the zoom.

Presets that stay put
Save the wreck you made. Load it on the next line, keep the seed, get the same edge back.

PNG, SVG, frames
Export at the resolution you set. Vector for print, frame sequences for motion.

Available on mobile
The same engine on a phone. Pinch the canvas, pull the type out of shape, take the file before you put it down.

A simulation,
not a font.
Private by design
Everything renders on your machine. Text, fonts and textures are read in the browser and never uploaded.
One edge, every letter
A bleed font ships the same ragged edge on every glyph. Here the noise is generated, so the word breaks where the type wants it.
Seeded on purpose
The noise is seeded. Keep the preset and the seed and you get the same wreck back on the next job.
Built by one designer
Made by Mohammed Mohamdy Eisa in Alexandria, Egypt. Album covers, posters and title cards are the reference.
Made with INKBLEED LAB
Type pulled out of shape in the lab. More of it on Instagram @mohamdy.psd.
Frequently asked questions
Is it free?
Right now, yes. Every feature is open. Later some of it will sit behind a paid tier and the free version will stay usable. No account either way.
Do I need an account?
No. Open the lab and type.
What can I export?
PNG at the resolution you set, SVG for vector work, and a frame sequence for motion.
Can I load my own font?
Yes. Drop in a font file and it loads in the browser. Your files are not uploaded anywhere.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The lab runs on mobile browsers. The desktop layout gives the controls more room.
Will I get the same result twice?
Yes. The noise is seeded. Keep the preset and the seed and you get the same wreck again.
